Death is really just more of the same. No heaven, no hell, just more work. This is a story about a shipping vessel full of ghosts and the antics they get up to in their dead-end jobs. They exist in the most mediocre form of an afterlife. One that's been corporatized. This is some REALLY late stage Capitalism.
